LASER HAIR REMOVAL

IMG-20220310-WA0028.jpg

Introducing Super Hair Removal Technology (SHR) Lasers – a new method for permanent hair removal. In comparison to other slightly dated laser and IPL methods, SHR provides faster, safer and pain-free hair reduction treatments for clients.

The secret to SHR’s virtually pain-free treatment is the method by which the hair follicle is damaged. By using a sweeping, paintbrush technique with low doses of energy applied multiple times to the hair follicle, the SHR procedure is shorter than other laser methods, moves comfortably, and gives top results.

"Is SHR safe?"
Hair removal is one of the aesthetic medical industry’s most well-known and researched uses of lasers and SHR Lasers treatment has provided safe and effective permanent hair reduction for millions of patients worldwide. Because SHR Lasers utilize in-motion and low-heat settings we’re able to provide a level of safety, unlike any other laser hair removal procedure. Laser hair removal is the most popular aesthetic procedure performed annually.

"Does it hurt?"
Unlike traditional laser hair removal methods, it does not hurt. Treatments are virtually painless, quick, and efficient.

"How Many Treatments Will I Need To Achieve The Required Results?"
For permanent hair removal to be successful you will need around 6 sessions or more in certain areas. This will be discussed with you upon initial inquiry as we like to ensure our clients are fully informed of all aspects when it comes to the treatments we offer. Blonde and red hair will need more due to hair having less pigment. Laser hair removal only affects the Anagen stage (actively growing hair). Therefore, approximately 10-15% of hair is reduced with each treatment. Several treatments are therefore required to fully treat the area.

"How long in between sessions?"
Facial hair removal every 4-6 weeks
Body hair removal every 6-8 weeks.

"Why is my hair still growing after the treatment?"
Subsequent to administering a light-based therapy treatment, the body requires time to shed the hair which had been thermally destroyed. It may take eight to ten days on some people and perhaps two to three weeks on others to fully shed the thermally damaged hair. Even though it appears as though hair continues to grow, it is actually the body shedding the hair entirely, over time the treated hair will grow out of the skin. This should not be mistaken for continued hair growth.

"Can I still have my monthly wax?"
Laser hair removal requires the hair to be intact with the bulb therefore waxing/tweezing/threading & bleaching are all prohibited and this will be outlined also during your consultation. Laser hair remo
val is a process as well as a commitment, you are only to shave or trim the hair throughout your course to achieve optimum results. If you are unsure of whether you are choosing
the right hair removal option for you please do speak to us.

"Can I use Tanning products or Solarium?"
The answer is NO, you should avoid using self-tanning products that darken the surface of the skin (as does normal tanning – UV rays). We suggest that you take your practitioner’s advice and give it at least 4 to 6 weeks after you have used self-tanners before getting any SHR IPL, laser, or IPL hair removal.

Avoiding sun exposure in treatment areas is not recommended 4 – 6 weeks prior to the treatment without adequate sun protection. Do not expose the treated area to the sun for a minimum of two weeks prior to your next appointment. This also applies to spray tan applications and solariums.

Take Advantage of the Benefits of Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal can change your life for the better. Besides the permanent removal of hair, there are additional benefits of the procedure that can vastly improve your quality of life.

  • Avoid Ingrown Hairs: When you shave, epilate, or wax your skin to remove hair, there is always a risk of developing ingrown hairs as they regrow. With laser hair removal, you won't need to worry about ingrown hairs developing, protecting you from an annoying and occasionally painful part of traditional methods.

  • Thinner Hair Regrowth: While we cannot guarantee that laser hair removal will permanently prevent hair from returning, it can help with the thickness and frequency of regrowth. After each laser hair removal treatment, it will take longer for your hair to regrow.

  • Prevent Cuts or Scars: Laser hair removal provides painless hair removal without the cuts or burns that other methods risk. While the treated area might appear a bit red or bumpy in the first 24-48 hours after your appointment, your skin should be smooth and free of blemishes.

  • Smoother Skin: Removing unwanted hair with laser hair removal treatments will result in smoother skin than other methods. Waxing and shaving can leave you with bumps or stubble, while laser treatments leave you with completely smooth skin. In addition, you will not need to wait for regrowth before your next session.
